WarriorElite's Newsletter #5
the scroll icon It has been too long. But we've made massive progress towards launch of our first game - War for Edadh. Play-testing has been completed and all the feedback taken into account. Our printer has our artwork and we've had sight of the proofs. This means that War for Edadh will be available 2nd October 2008 so make a note of that date.

card database icon Revised Troop Cards. All the cards have had a final design overhall. You can see how this has affected the Angueth warring faction cards. We hope you like the final design. You can leave us any comments in the forum - it would be great to get your feedback.

news icon Conflict Cards represent specific occurrences in a battle - such as capturing your opponent's standard - or specific actions a troop can do - such as using halbards to unhorse an opponent. As Nigel has detailed in the Conflict Card forum post, these don't happen automatically. You have to play to bring these about.

Conflict Cards have their own distinctive look as Ash describes on our forum. Although the rules for Conflict Cards are in the War for Edadh game you can only acquire these cards through expansion packs.

events icon Gen Con UK. For those of you who can make it we will be attending Gen Con UK - 28th to 31st Aug. - at the University of Reading, UK - see www.genconuk.com for details. We'll be demonstrating War for Edadh and hope to see some of you there.

news icon Defenders: part 5
Vaeysa lets his soldiers cheer and jeer. To catch the Angueth rebels was rare enough but to force them into open battle was rarer. It was a good victory and Vaeysa smiles under his helmet.

"Sir, over here," Vaeysa turns to see a scout kneeling beside one of the fallen Angueth, "this one's alive sir."

"Good." Vaeysa strides away from the riverbank towards the scout. A captured rebel would really be a feather in his helmet, "how bad is he?"

"Took one in the shoulder, sir. He'll live."

"Excellent!" Vaeysa reaches the injured Angueth to confront a gory scene where a small pool of blood is collecting under the rebel's shoulder. Pain is etched into the Angueth's features and suddenly Vaeysa's blood turns to ice and he feels it drain from his face. His stomach twists and he can taste bile in the back of his throat.
to be continued...
