Description

The Kes and Kro live symbiotic lives. They are two separate races, but can always be found living side by side, in concourse with each other.

Kes reach their adulthood at the age of twelve. They have an average height of six feet, have powerful builds and acute, defined features. They are covered with fine, soft hair from head to foot. Fur and skin tones vary wildly in colour from black to light brown and it is not uncommon for natural blemishes and birthmarks to manifest in their fur.

Kro are shorter but look alike to the Kes in features and form. Standing at an average of about four and a half feet they notably have tails and are covered in thicker fur than the Kes, but have similar colourings.

Creation Myth

The Kes believe in a dichotomy which pervades everything within the Universe. When the world was first born it is held that a God of Order populated the world with the beasts, fish, and the birds. Upon seeing these creations the God of Chaos created the Kes to be the master of them. However, the God of Order imbued each Kes with a spiritual aspect, a part of them which is good and which is able to hold the chaos within at bay. Furthermore, the God of Order created the Kro alongside the Kes to give them companionship and guidance in their existence.

Cultures

The Kes and Kro created three cultures on Edadh: Teya (pronounced tay-ya), Piri (pronounced pi - as in pin - ree) and Zue (pronounced zoo-ee). Kes are also found within the ranks of the Dzaa (pronounced zar). However the Kro don't appear within the Dzaa army but can be found as Dzaa citizens or in military administrative posts.
